It is often that clients I have installed blogs for feel tempted to press the link at the top of their page “upgrade to the newest version of wordpress 2.8 “. In almost all cases the person doing the upgrade only presses the button but neglects to read or follow the small print. If you are going to upgrade to a new version of wordpress please remember to include these steps as well. In some cases I have seen the blog seize up and lock you out. Also make sure the person installing your blog gives you “administrative” access to your account.
Step 1 – Backup your MySQL database. ( You may need to contact your web host to help you to do this )
Step 2 – Upgrade WordPress – click on the button ” Upgrade Automatically”.
Step 3 – Upgrade your PLUGINS also.
If any of this is above your head contact your web designer and have them handle it for you!
For Mothers day my wife asked for a impression of our 16 month old daughters feet as she had been procrastinating since birth to do so. I had to do some internet searching and I came across Tanya Chin at Zinnia Designs in Needham. I brought my daughter to her house and she imprinted her feet and we picked out the colors. 6 weeks later this beautiful footprint arrived. We suggest if you have a baby or a pet, you may want to capture a moment in time to remember for always.

I recently watched Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt’s Keynote commencement speech at Carnegie Mellon. I was very inspired by him and the amount of optimism he exuded.
Three quotes that enlightened me during his speech were :
“Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans.” John Lennon
“Its all about opportunity, take advantage of it.” Eric Schmidt
“Technology and innovation are making lives more functional.” Eric Schmidt
Also, it was very interesting to learn about great products and companies that have flourished in a recession.
